HOW TO MEASURE AN ENVELOPE

  1. Flap length is measured from the top fold score line to the tip of the flap.
  2. Seal gum is measured from the edge of the seal flap to where the gumline stops.
  3. Throat depth is measured from the top fold scoreline to the top of the bottom flap.
  4. Side flap is measured from the side fold to its farthest point at the envelope center.

DEFINITIONS

  • The length is considered the longest side of the envelope.
  • The width is the shorter side of the envelope.
